New Scarecrow

Here are a couple shots of my new scarecrow.
I'm planning on putting it out in the yard tonight along with a sign that says "Beware Oct. 31 6-9 p.m."

Welcome

Hi everyone.
Welcome to what will eventually become brownlawn.com.
I'll set up the offiicial website after halloween.
This blog is just here to get some pictures bits and pieces of my display posted quickly.

I've been doing the home haunt thing for at least fifteen years now. Probably more. Time flies when you're having fun!

My props all started out as low-budget home-made props because I didn't have any money and they've pretty much stayed that way because it turns out that home-made is usually better than store bought (and more fun too)!

I was a member of the halloween-l for quite a few years back around 1996 or so and had a website up at the time. I left the list when I didn't have time to keep up with the emails and the website came down when I finished school and didn't have time to keep it up any more.

I worked for a halloween/novelty store for 5+ years as I was going through college and now program computers for a living.

I got a great deal on web hosting so 2004 will now be the triumphant (hopefully) return of my halloween pictures to the web.
